Blighted homes slated for razing
SOUTH EUCLIDThe city is moving ahead with plans to demolish four vacant, blighted homes.
Housing Manager Sally Martin said one of those homes, 4069 Colony Road, has, in fact, been torn down.
Still to come are homes at 4401 Ardmore Road, 1864 Oakmount Road, and 4191 Hinsdale Road.
Martin said the county land bank will have the option of retaining the properties, except the city-owned Ardmore property.
But, Martin said, the city gets preference should the city want the property as part of its land bank. Such properties can be redeveloped as the site of more homes, or perhaps used for green space.
