Housing price slide slows in Northeast Ohio

    by Plain Dealer staff
    Wednesday November 26, 2008, 12:35 AM

After a record low in March, home values in Greater Cleveland appear to be leveling out while prices in 19 other metro areas keep falling.

In September, Cleveland market home prices were 6.4 percent lower than the same month in the previous year, while most other markets saw steeper declines.

Experts say that while much of the nation is coming down from a huge run-up in prices that began around 2003, Cleveland-area home prices haven't had as far to fall.
