    Man, 60, is facing charges for assaulting mother, 88

    PARMA DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, MANHATTAN AVENUE:A 60-year-old man faces charges for assaulting his 88-year-old mother Sunday. The woman told police he took her car without her permission.

    THEFT, LORIMER ROAD:Someone broke into a Jeep that was parked overnight Sunday in a resident's driveway and stole an iPod. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, KELTONSHIRE:Police took a report Saturday from a 23-year-old woman who said her live-in boyfriend struck her face. The man, 34, has a prior domestic violence conviction and could be charged with felony assault. BURGLARY, MANHATTAN AVENUE:Two males, ages 22 and 24, who were hired to maintain a property, stole personal items from the residence. Police arrested them Friday. BREAKING AND ENTERING, BROADVIEW ROAD:Someone tried to break into two offices located in the same building sometime during the night April 22. The cable lines to the building were cut, according to police. BREAKING AND ENTERING, LUCERNE AVENUE:A 22-year-old man was arrested April 23 for stealing property from a garage. THEFT, STATE ROAD:Someone removed an air condenser from the roof of the Jigsaw Saloon, 5326 State Road. Police were called April 21. THEFT, W. RIDGEWOOD DRIVE:A man was charged with petty theft after he was caught stealing a bracelet valued at $38 April 21 from Macy's at Parmatown Mall. THEFT, STATE ROAD:A man stole nine packages of razor blades, valued at about $90, April 21 from CVS and ran from the store before police arrived. FRAUD, WELLINGTON AVENUE:A $2,700 check, delivered April 21 to a resident via United Parcel Service, turned out to be fake. The resident notified police when the check was delivered. THEFT, WEST RIDGEWOOD DRIVE:Police charged a 24-year-old woman with petty theft after she was caught stealing two ponytail hair pieces April 21 from a store at Parmatown. CRIMINAL DAMAGING, PINEGROVE AVENUE:Someone used a BB gun April 21 to shatter the windows of three vehicles parked at three different residences. THEFT, CHEVROLET BOULEVARD: Someone stole $80 from a file cabinet at the Robert Taylor Agency. The theft was reported April 20. AUTO THEFT, DAY DRIVE:Someone stole a 1997 Dodge Caravan April 20 from the parking of Giant Eagle. THEFT, O'MALLEY DRIVE:A woman reported April 19 that someone stole her prescription medication from her car. THEFT, WAINSTEAD DRIVE: Someone removed a trampoline April 19 from a resident's back yard. The trampoline is worth about $280. HARASSMENT, PARKLANE DRIVE: A man reported April 18 that his estranged wife is harassing him by repeatedly calling. THEFT, BROADVIEW ROAD: Three juveniles were seen breaking into a Honda parked April 18 in an apartment complex lot. A stereo was stolen from the vehicle.
