• Ruutu suspended for biting foe
Ottawa Senators forward Jarkko Ruutu was suspended by the NHL on Wednesday for two games without pay for biting Buffalo Sabres enforcer Andrew Peters.

• Blue Jackets are shut out in Detroit
Ty Conklin made 23 saves for his eighth career shutout and Pavel Datsyuk had a goal and two assists, sending the Red Wings to a 3-0 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night in Detroit.

• Rangers power their way past Pens
Henrik Lundqvist became the fifth NHL goalie to start a career with four 20-win seasons, and the host New York Rangers turned their struggling power play into a plus in a 4-0 victory over the slumping Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night.

Nikolai Khabibulin made 34 saves, Martin Havlat, Andrew Ladd and Patrick Sharp each had a goal and an assist, and the Blackhawks rebounded from consecutive losses to Detroit to beat Calgary, 5-2, on Sunday night in Chicago.

Only Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin prevented the Montreal Canadiens from an All-Star sweep.

• Blues wreck Mason, Blue Jackets
The Blues' special teams cooled off Blue Jackets rookie goalie Steve Mason, accounting for all of the goals in a 5-2 victory over Columbus on Saturday night in St. Louis.

• Devils beat up rehabbing Habs
Scott Clemmensen made 33 saves, Jamie Langenbrunner and Zach Parise each had a goal and an assist, and the New Jersey Devils beat the Montreal Canadiens, 4-1, on Friday night in Newark, N.J.

• Shutout run ends, but Jackets win
Kristian Huselius scored twice and Steve Mason won his fourth straight despite having his shutout streak halted at three games and the Columbus Blue Jackets beat Colorado, 6-1, on Friday night in Denver.

• Bruins extend win streak to eight
Michael Ryder broke a tie with 6:04 left and the Boston Bruins beat the host Atlanta Thrashers, 2-1, on Sunday to extend their winning streak to eight games and tie San Jose for the overall NHL lead with 58 points.

• Blue Jackets' Mason stonewalls Flyers
Rookie Steve Mason made 20 saves for his third shutout in Columbus' 3-0 victory over visiting Philadelphia on Saturday night, the Blue Jackets' first win over the Flyers in franchise history.

• Penguins, Fleury shut out Devils
Marc-Andre Fleury made 37 saves for Pittsburgh's first shutout of the season, and Ruslan Fedotenko scored midway through the second period in the Penguins' 1-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.
