by Sue Bielawski
Friday January 02, 2009, 9:00 AM
To promote Ohio's cuisine, wineries, organic produce and the arts, the Lorain, Medina and Wayne County Convention and Visitor's Bureaus have formed "Fresh Ohio."
Representatives from each bureau will share promotional materials and short-trip itineraries with group tour operators at the Heartland Travel Showcase in Pittsburgh Feb. 20-22.
The goal is to provide a local experience of all that Ohioans grow and create, now and in the past. Activities will include nautical Lake Erie activities, Amish areas, farmer's markets, wineries and Underground Railroad history.
The groups also plan to develop marketing materials for the leisure traveler.
