Miles of smiles: Where to go for Cleveland's best happy hour deals
By ldemarco

Too much of a good thing is just enough for me -- except when it comes to being "Happy." In a desperate attempt to find Happiness, I hit as many happy hours as I could over the course of two weeks. I ate sushi, burgers, oysters and pizza, and drank margaritas, mojitos, beer and tequila.
My tummy and head are a mess. I can't say that I'm too happy about that.
But I discovered that yes, there are enough happy hours to make you feel good for a day -- even if your boss is a jerk, gas prices are sucking you dry, and you're tired of Unhappy Hours in bars where drunks grovel in their beer and chicken-wing heads drool BBQ sauce all over themselves.
In other words, these places are affordable and fun. Just don't overdose on them, OK?
Happy factor rated on a scale of one to five.

Bar Cento is awesome! I predict they'll soon need to swap spaces with Bier markt.
I'm very disappointed that you didn't include any alternative or gay bars in this article. Union Station Video Cafe at W. 28th Street and Detroit Avenue has an AMAZING happy hour special, with $2.50 well cocktails, $1.50 domestic beers, and $5.00 appetizers (amazing chicken wings!)

gay bars aside, i think the point to this selection is to veer away from the typical happy hour. i.e. no chicken wings and miller lights.
Went to Lolita's Friday for their late happy hour and it was well worth the heat we endured. No A/C.
We ordered everything they offered and it was all worth having. The burger, wings, mussels and mac and cheese were outstanding. Great atmosphere, loved it!
can't you just be happy that there's some place to have a good drink and some appetizers. I never think of "gee, will there be good looking men there while I have a drink and an appetizer?" Why does it have to be a "GAY" place. Gosh. Get OVER yourself.
Note for Bar Cento - you have to actually be sitting AT THE BAR, they won't serve you happy hour specials even if you are sitting at the tables next to the bar (which I thought were considered the "bar area", especially since there were happy hour menus at the tables!). SO, not a good place to go with more than 2 people. Servers also were rude. The service and burgers at the Flying Fig are wayyyy better.

Get real.
If some normal people mosey into a gay bar and see a guy dressed in only a jock strap in will spoil their appetites. And ruin happy hour for them forever.
Pier W didn't make this list and has an excellent happy hour
But what if he sees some AMAZING dude that looks just AMAZING sucking on some greasy chicken bone that just happens to also taste AMAZING? Maybe that would make him enjoy it?.... NAW! I think you're right, the bone suckers should get real and lighten-up!!!! Geeez
Guinness, you might be ugly and hurting for some loving.....come over and I'll give you some
