The Cleveland Orchestra has released its 2010-11 season, unveiling a busy year to come, both at Severance Hall and on the road. Included in its plans are extensions of the "Fridays@7," "Musically Speaking," and "Celebrity" series, as well as tours to Asia and Europe, a Baroque festival, and a staged production of Mozart's "Don Giovanni." Spaces shifts its focus from objects to ideas

'Black Box' at the Cleveland International Film Festival is a mind-blower from the start

If you're bored with the drab dreariness of mainstream films, you'll be absolutely thrilled with the first 13 minutes of "Black Box." The rest of the film is terrific, too, but Mexican director Ariel Gordon took great creative pains to concoct a mind-blowing opening sequence. It combines live action, animation, video clips and breathless narration that lure us into tales of a bizarre secret society and its poisonous political-assassination plot. Full story »
