RUBBISH COLLECTION & RECYCLING:

BFI handles East Cleveland's rubbish and recycling pickup. Garbage is collected weekly on the curbside.

Wooden products such as twigs,branches or pruning debris is to be cut into 4' or less and bundled. Furniture and appliances are picked up on garbage day (Doors need to be removed on large appliances.)

East Cleveland is on the Blue Bag Recycling Program. Collection is on the same day as regular refuse collection. Blue Bag consists of placing recycling items in a blue recycleable bag. Newspaper needs to be put in brown paper bag and other items placed in blue bag which can contain glass containers, metal cans, and 1 & 2 plastic bottles. Glass needs to be separated from plastic or metal.
