Gilmour boys lacrosse team falls to rival US
The Gilmour Academy lacrosse team lost to its SOM Center Road rival, University School, by a 9-2 count.
GA seniors Kyle Corrigan and Will O'Brien each had a goal. The Lancers are now 3-6.
The tennis team scored a decisive victory over Brush, 4-1. First singles player Jared Unger won in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6. Senior Parker Shiverick also had a victory in singles, joining the doubles tandem of Mac Converse and Ethan Moses. GA's record is 4-6.
The boys and girls had a tough week in a track and field dual with Magnificat and US. The girls lost to Magnificat, 69-50. Notable performances included victories in the 3,200, 100 and 800 meters.
The boys were edged by US, 61-57. Standout showings included wins in the 110 high hurdles, the 100 and the 1,600.
The baseball team lost two high-scoring games, 10-5 to US and 10-0 to Walsh Jesuit.
