Cable guy's nighttime return to Chagrin home startles woman

CHAGRIN FALLS SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR, BELL STREET:A woman reported June 29 a suspicious man was crawling around in her bushes at 9:30 p.m. He was a Time-Warner Cable employee who had been at the home earlier in the day to install cable and he returned that night because he thought he left some of his tools outside. FOUND PROPERTY, RIVERSIDE PARK:A Service Department employee found a small metal container with a pill inside July 1. Officers have not yet identified the pill's owner or what type of pill it is. ACCIDENT, NORTH MAIN STREET:A Bentleyville man, 19, was taken to the hospital July 2 after a bicycle he was riding was hit by a Cadillac driven by a Solon man, 56. The Solon man was driving on Main Street when the Bentleyville man made a left turn in front of him. The Cadillac then hit the bicycle from behind. ACCIDENT, NORTH MAIN STREET:A Chagrin Falls man, 51, was taken to the hospital Sunday after he was hit by a car door. He was riding his bicycle when a Bainbridge man, whose vehicle was parked on the street, opened a door and accidentally hit him. HARASSMENT, EAST SUMMIT STREET:A woman reported July 1 that someone left an "extremely vulgar" voice message on a cell phone belonging to her daughter, 14. Police are investigating. FRAUD, ORCHARD STREET:A man said June 30 someone stole a check from his checkbook and cashed it for $500. CRIMINAL DAMAGING, COTTAGE STREET:A man reported July 1 someone damaged a rear-view mirror on his vehicle while he was out of town.

BAINBRIDGE HARRASSMENT, EASTBROOK TRAIL:A woman, 40, reported her personal information and harassing statements were posted on a Web site after she appeared on a reality show.
