Controversial Episcopal bishop speaks at Tuesday's Chautauqua
Chautauqua-in-Chagrin will continue Tuesday with the theme "What Makes Us Moral?" At 3 p.m., the Chagrin Falls Library will host "The Magic of Going Green" Young Readers Program.
At 6 p.m. Joan Brown Campbell will speak on "What Makes us Moral? An Abrahamic Perspective," at United Methodist Church, 20 S. Franklin St.
At 6 p.m. students from the Kent/Blossom chamber music program will give a free performance at Federated Church, 76 Bell St.
At 7 p.m. Hot Jazz 7 will give a free concert in Riverside Park.
At 8 p.m. the Rev. V. Gene Robinson, a bishop of New Hampshire, will give the lecture "What Makes Us Moral? A Christian Perspective," at Federated Church, 76 Bell St.
Robinson made headlines by being the first openly gay man to be consecrated a bishop in the Episcopal church.
Gate passes for individual evenings are $25 for preferred seating and $15 for general seating. Subscriptions to all four weeks of the series are $80 and $50. Individual tickets for the 8 p.m. lectures are $10.
