  • Perhaps Cleveland's ultimate bedroom community, Broadview Heights is not just another suburb. From the picturesque Metroparks, to the nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area, to beautifully appointed neighborhoods, it is a great place to live or visit.

Once ranked by a local magazine as Cleveland's fifth most desirable suburb, Broadview Heights has everything a family would want, from great schools to a wide assortment of youth activities, to a host of places to dine, and easy access to both Cleveland and Akron.

Situated between Brecksville and North Royalton, about 10 miles from downtown Cleveland, Broadview Heights children attend either the North Royalton or Brecksville-Broadview Heights school systems, the latter featuring a brand-new, state-of-the-art high school. The school districts ranked in the top 25 percent in state proficiency testing.

Situated amongst Cleveland's Metroparks district, there are plenty of outdoor activities. A network of trails for biking, hiking and running are available. Two public golf courses totalling 63 holes are also located in town. Numerous other courses are within a short drive. Many activities and services are available for seniors, from bus services to blood-pressure monitoring.

Broadview Heights has a population of 15,900, with nearly 100,000 people living in a five-mile area surrounding state Routes 82 and 176. The average household income is about $57,000. The city is located between 82 and 176, with Interstate 77 intersecting both roads. The Ohio Turnpike is accessible within five minutes, as is Interstate 71.

Housing of all types is available in the city. From century farm homes to brand-new construction, houses can be bought or built in nearly all sizes and price ranges. Thirty percent of the city's land remains undeveloped. New shopping centers and eateries dot the landscape, primarily on routes 82 and 176 (Broadview Road). A large number of chain restaurants can found on one of those two arteries.
