Blink, and you might miss the quiet village
of Bentleyville nestled deep in the Chagrin
Valley. Located approximately 20 miles
southeast of Cleveland and bounded by
Chagrin Falls, Moreland Hills and Solon, the
area may be close to other major suburbs,
but it has the seclusion of living in a country
atmosphere. The village is easily accessible
from Alternate Route 422.
Don't let the village's small population of 900 residents
fool you. Bentleyville is a rare jewel consisting of
expansive estates and newer homes. The village is a
wonderful place to raise a family and parents should
take comfort in knowing that their children will be
attending one of the finest school systems in the
county, Chagrin Falls.
There's never a shortage of things to do in Bentleyville.
Residents can take advantage of The Emerald Necklace of
the Cleveland Metroparks System which winds through the
village. The changing seasons are showcased in the area's
parks. In the winter, you'll find families sledding or
cross-country skiing. In the spring and summer, picnics
abound at Sulphur Springs, Squaw Rock, Table Rock and
the Shelter House picnic grounds. Joggers and bicyclists can
be seen roaming the winding paths. Bridal trails are also
scattered throughout the area for horse lovers. An
outstanding Recreational Department offers a variety of
accommodations which have been rated top-notch.
Community members don't merely reside in Bentleyville,
they get involved. Participation in safety and town programs
is popular with residents and the small police department,
lending a hand to Bentleyville's enjoyment of the lowest
crime rate in the area.
The slogan for the village is "Country Living Close to
Town," and the Village of Bentleyville certainly lives up to
its billing.
