Driver Will Power breaks two vertebrae in his lower back, sustains a concussion

SONOMA, Calif. -- Driver Will Power of Team Penske broke two vertebrae in his lower back and sustained a concussion Saturday after crashing into Nelson Philippe of Conquest Racing during a practice session for the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma.
Philippe also sustained a concussion along with an open fracture to his left foot that required surgery.

Hamlin holds off Johnson in race, but not in Chase
Martinsville, Va. -- Just think, if Denny Hamlin was as prophetic about who would win the Chase for the Sprint Cup as he has been about his race wins, NASCAR could call an early end to the season.
